I love to hear the British people talk. The way they describe things is so delightful and sweet. Here is an example taken from the baking instructions on our frozen potato wedges:
"Spread your wedges evenly in a single layer onto a baking tray and pop it into the top of the oven. Bake for 18 minutes, turning them every now and again, until they're lovely, crisp and light golden."
I know it is just potatoes, but doesn't that melt your heart?
I might have attended a dinner party with some delightful english friends of ours and used this as an example of why everything sounds better when they say it! so quaint.
