Ady's Perspective on Things

"Dada, It's okay to hate."

"Mama, I'm really tired of this day and I want to snuggle."

Ady wrote a card to all of her teachers for teacher appreciation day. To Sefia, who is muslim and wears a head dress, Ady wanted me to write, "I like your hat!" She also had me write to each of them, "Thank you for sitting and waiting all the times." She thought they lived at the school and waited for her each day.

Today we were at the library and I told Ady she needed to be quiet while we were there. As we looked through some travel guide books, Ady said to me, "Mama, did you hear my farts?" I laughed because everyone could, of course hear her say this. I said, "no." Then she said, "That's because they were QUIET!"

"I love you and I hope you have a bad day!"

"Mama, is that an owie on your cheek? (yes) ...Okay, I will go and get my power tools."

"Is it sun time?"

One night Tyler told Ady that he was an accountant. As she went off to bed she said "Good night bank account!" Smart little girl.
